The Farmhouse
The farmhouse is located in the extensive grounds of Chateau de Courtomer and has been renovated to a high standard of comfort and relaxed good taste. This property has been a labour of love involving many hands – our family, our staff, and local artisans. Great care has been taken to maintain the authentic, historical detail of the property. During the restoration we sought to keep as many original details as possible and where this wasn’t possible, we replicated old doors and hardware as necessary and repaired crumbling stonework using traditional techniques.

Space to relax and play
The Farmhouse has its own private entrance and driveway and is independent of the Chateau and other farm buildings. It looks out to a large, walled apple orchard, newly planted with heritage cider varieties.
The gravel patio in front of the house is equipped with everything our guests need for alfresco dining- barbeque and elegant garden furniture.
Just next to the farmhouse, is a large barn- where we store the barbeque, it is also perfect for storing your bikes.
Your French Country Home
The house can comfortably accommodate nine guests. The configuration of the bedrooms is as follows: one double, two twins and a triple. We can also provide a baby bed and high chair, on request. The orchard provides space and freedom for children to play safely.
The open plan kitchen- diner features a huge fireplace and wood is provided so that guests can enjoy the warmth and the smell of a crackling log fire on chilly winter nights or autumn mornings. The property is centrally heated and very cosy. For guests who love to cook the kitchen is well equipped to prepare simple meals or gastronomic feasts. Just off the kitchen is a separate laundry room with washer and drier.
Our bedrooms are all en suite and one is on the ground floor providing easy access to the outdoors. All bedlinen is provided along with towels and hair dryers. Our house keeper will make up your beds so that on arrival you just need to stock the fridge, put your feet up and relax.

Pets welcome
For those of you that travel with pets- they are very welcome but please clean up after your dogs and keep them under control at all times. The estate includes a working farm and our Limousine cows are usually relaxed and easy going but they can be protective of their calves in the Spring.
